Το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο απέρριψε πριν από λίγο την Εμπορική Συμφωνία Κατά της Παραποίησης γνωστή και ως (ACTA), με την ψηφοφορία να ήταν εξαιρετικά μονόπλευρη κατά της πολυσυζητημένης συνθήκης. Αναλυτικά συγκεντρώθηκαν 478 ψήφοι κατά της ACTA, 39 υπέρ ενώ καταμετρήθηκαν 146 αποχές. Το νομοσχέδιο ACTA συμπεριλάμβανε την επιβολή παγκόσμιων προτύπων σχετικά με την προστασία πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων.
